Paul Westbrook is a broadly experienced, effective, and practical Oil and Gas lawyer. He has represented clients in a variety of aspects of Oil and Gas Law during his 21-year career. His current energy practice includes a wide array of oil and gas issues, including title examination, acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence, exploration, production, development, operations, and regulatory issues, as well as oil and gas litigation in a variety of contexts and jurisdictions. He has experience involving lease and mineral interest disputes, operating agreements, participation agreements, farmouts, areas of mutual interest, easements, pooling and unitization issues and disputes, royalty disputes, and compulsory unitization proceedings, among others.
Paul is licensed and actively practicing in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. He is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Energy Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Fort Worth Association of Professional Landmen, Fort Worth Wildcatters, the Energy and Natural Resources Section of the State Bar of Oklahoma, the Eastern Mineral Law Foundation, and a Life Fellow of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation and Texas Bar Foundation.
