Michael J. Malone has an energy and natural resources practice that focuses primarily on the representation of operators and landowners in a variety of transactional matters. These include complex title examination, title curative, conveyancing, purchase and sale of oil and gas assets, formation of pooled units, and due diligence related to energy finance transactions. Michael also has extensive experience in the review and negotiation of oil and gas leases, surface use agreements, and other agreements involving protection of the surface estate and development of the mineral estate.
Michael serves on the board of the Tarrant County Bar Association’s Energy Law Section. He is also a member of Fort Worth Wildcatters, Fort Worth Association of Professional Landmen, and the Steeplechase Club of Fort Worth.
