Mark Matula understands the legal and financial aspects of the oil and gas business. He represents both landowners and operators in a variety of oil and gas matters including leasing, joint operations, title examination, conveyancing, acquisitions and divestitures, and preparing and negotiating various documents related to exploration and production. He also has experience representing regional and national banks in energy lending matters.
Mark is licensed in both Texas and New Mexico and has been board certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1986, the first year this certification was offered. Mark is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Energy Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Fort Worth Association of Professional Landmen, and Fort Worth Wildcatters.
As a Navy brat, Mark lived in many places his first ten years before he moved to Hallettsville, Texas, which he considers his hometown. Mark now lives in Mansfield with his wife, Rene, and is the proud father of two daughters, Lydia and Hannah.
