Senior Counsel
Malissa Perkins represents exploration and production companies, surface development companies, and land and mineral owners in a variety of transactional and title matters including negotiating and drafting agreements associated with joint operations of the subsurface, shared use of the surface, leasing, acquisitions and divestitures, and rendering title opinions.
As energy demand continues to grow in Texas so to does demand for access to the surface in support of both surface development and mineral development. Accordingly, Ms. Perkins’ practice is increasingly focused on advising surface and subsurface developers through shared use negotiations.
